China Results and Championship Standings (3/19)

Overall Standings

Another fascinating race capped off, full of different strategies and an exciting finish. Ferrari and Alonso were definitely the direction to go this weekend, well done on an amazing debut by Ediglo.

Constructors Championship

For constructors, so not to disadvantage teams with only one driver (or to protect against someone who doesn't post), players will score points in line with race finishes. See the overall results from China below, Ediglo will score 25 points for his 1st place this weekend. This is different to how the drivers championship will be scored. If players are tied they will be separated by the following criteria: Race > Constructors > Qualifying > Random > The time of the pick (earlier the better).

Random

The random category this week was which driver will make the most positions up between practice 1 and the race. If there was a tie the decider would be the highest finish in the race. Again well done to Joe who scored maximum points (8 from a possible 9 so far this year).

Point Allocation (Season)

Most Season Session Points

Most season session points is the ultimate gauge of consistency across all race weekend sessions. For every session (P1, P2, P3, qualifying and race) + fastest lap a driver is allocated points equivalent to the race finish (25 = 1st, 18 = 2nd, etc.). These points will be totalled across every weekend and the winner will be the one with the most points.

I've been working together some Hall of Fame all-time stats as well as links to every F1 prediction league thread. What do you think? Also every team has set expectations for the season based on the constructors results, so by the end of the season we can work a team transfer system in. Not a fully fleshed out idea but hopefully it adds in some interest.

Bahrain's next week so not long to wait! I'll get the prediction thread up tomorrow so hold tight until then. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to write below.

  1. I'm a bit surprised that Red Bull failed so badly. Sorry Dragan.

    Bring on Bahrain!
