My ideal preference would be to change the format of the league to:
Qualifying 7 points max
Race 7 points max
Constructors 6 points max
Random 5 points max
Qualifying is a more pure form of prediction as race is affected by luck more. Plus Constructors is heavily impacted by race picks.
The problem I've noticed this year is that race being the ultimate decider is bad, for example if someone picks the best qualifying pick and the second best race pick, they need to score 2 more random points than someone who makes the 2nd best qualifying pick and best race pick. This is because race is the ultimate decider. I'd like to avoid that situation if possible.
I'm happy to listen to other suggestions.

ReplyDeleteAlso make random the tie breaker for constructors positions/podium places - it's the most complex and least likely to be affected by luck.
